Ya tengo lista una nueva extensión que permite enmudecer tu aplicación según el estado del botón de Mute de iPhone o iPad.

Ahora soporta más dispositivos, por si haces una aplicación compatible con otros sistemas (android, air tv, windows, mac), la aplicación no dará error al tratar de usar la extensión.

Nueva función Mute.dispose(), para eliminar la extensión de memoria cuando ya no sea necesario, recomendado utilizarla antes de cerrar la APP.

I’m trying to use your Mute extension and it doesn’t want to work for me. Even though the swc is part of my project I get error 1172 on the import line and when I take that out - I get a “TypeError: Error #1007: Instantiation attempted on a non-constructor”

Could you help me? Thanks in advance:

Whenever I try to use the ANE in a release build the app crashes on both iOS 4.3 and iOS 5. it works if i build a fast-build. Any ideas how to solve this?

The Xcode console throws : *** Error *** GBMusicTrack - initWithPath: error in AudioSessionInitialize: 1768843636. even with a release build

I’ve uploaded an sample project http://www.deviouswork.com/tmp/ANETestProject.zip with just the Mute extension and an embedded bitmap -> crash

This looks like exactly what I need, but when I try encorporating the ANE in Flash Builder 4.6 I get the following build error:

“Some classes used in the application could not be resolved for packaging. See error log for more details.”

Any ideas?

Hi got the extension to work fine now. Thanks for your great work. Only problem I have left is that when the application goes in to background and wakes up again - previous settings of the mute button seems to have been forgotten so:

- Load Ap
- Switch mute button off (sound goes off…)
- Press home button
- Click ap again - sound is back on

Any idea on that?

I had a bit of trouble getting the packaging process to work as it was my first native extension I’ve used. I have put together a bit of a guide for other users that covers not just this extension but the whole packaging process.

Hi for people with error 1172: Don’t use var mute = new Mute(); this extension is static and don’t need to create a new instance then it throw a error, only use:

Mute.Enable(Mute.SOLO_AMBIENT_SOUND);

And before exit from app it’s recomended to dispose it with: Mute.dispose();, it’s new feature, donwload it again.

Allready tried that. No way to get this running.
I’m using FlashDevelop and i’ve added your extensions as an external library. Using “internal library” or “embedded library” will pass through the build process but will crash the app.
Other Native Extensions works fine.

It’s quite strange. Befor i switched to AIR 3.2 everything worked fine. But from now on I’ll get this error. Even if I go back to AIR 3.1 … it’s quite frustrating.

Yes I did. Even I don’t think that the problem is related to AIR 3.2 but this error came up the first time after i switched to this SDK.
After I went back to the FD-Internal flexsdk, the error is still present.
I definitely don’t know WHAT occurs this error or where to look at first.

having issues with this extension. i get that iflexasset error. whats weird is that it comes up now all the time… even when i disable the extension. usin flash builder 4.6 , win7

I think I’ve found the mistake.

As you have any “Embeds” like:
[Embed(source = "../icons/ios/Default-Landscape.png")]
private var image:Class;

… The IFlexAssets - Error occur. This also happens if you embed fonts this way.
May it is better practise to use .swc - Librarys which holds all your like fonts, images etc.

Execute Mute.Enable(Mute.AMBIENT_SOUND) in your Application.activate event handler.

To remove this ane completely from your project go to Project Properties -> Flex Build Packaging -> Apple IOS -> Native Extensions. Don’t change anything there, just press Apply, then press OK.
